Just started a new 1.12 world some days ago going great

Nice, 8 years later this design still works! However I found i couldn't get the mana spreaders to just point at the force relays like this, they need to be shift + right click which is how you pick up relays. So to anyone having issues, mana spreaders point at ANYTHING this way. Just place some dirt where you want the relays to be, point it, and then replace that block with the relay and the mana will flow through just like in the video.

When I start the sand island, it keeps starting me with 48 seconds of regeneration, which feels like cheating because you can get 4 stacks of cactus needles before taking damage. Was this regeneration added for a reason?

By the way, this video and the explanation of how all the pieces worked was not only enough to help me set up an automatic tree farm(something I've never even tried before), but ALSO, taking the lessons this and the automatic milk farm video taught, I'm able to automate other tasks on our server. Oh my god this is amazing! A great setup, a tutorial that teaches what i need to learn without taking 30 minutes, and a list of all the items needed?? Possibly one of the best minecraft tutorials I've ever seen.

I minorly modify this to have 8 flowers genning with 8 dispensers and whatnot, and never bother using the floating variety. always come back to this year to year - currently using a version in 1.20.1 and it still does its job nicely. The one thing I always miss is to have more than one empty bucket in the locked hoppers, but its always an easy fix after catching it from the first round. I love setting up dominant and recessive runes with a mini mana pool mana battery on this so it never overflows.

i can never understand why these type of series arent as popular as "I SPENT 100 DAYS IN SURVIVAL MINECRAFT!" I know this is from years ago but these are all I used to watch as a kid for hours and I LOVED it. minecraft survivals just dont hit the same anymore. Great work and great videos!!

In my original 1.8.9 world, before shields were added, I was blown up by Creepers so many times, often costing me all of my stuff, that I built my large English Manor entirely out of Obsidian. Fkg Creepers.

It's funny. I started on 1.8.9, which I enjoyed very, very much. However, that was only two years ago, bc I was nervous about my $1000 graphics card - a GTX-690. Also had a very small Plains spawn, framed by Roofed Forest, a Jungle behind that, and River Mountains on two sides, and Mountains on the last. No sheep (turned out to be a bug), and basically impossible to navigate without getting lost or killed and returned to Spawn. Way before I knew about F3 key. Went 945 game days before I had a bed, but it didn't pause in the menu screen, so not really that long. But I loved it. Now the game has gotten far too easy. Only upgraded to 1.16 for more lighting options than torches and Glowstone. But those early days were awesome. Biomes are absolutely massive. Forests so dense that you can't see the sky. And not a village every 500 blocks that have all of your starting gear. Took ages to find my first village. I lived underground like a mole person. But there were no Phantoms then. And no shields. To this day, I forget that I have one now. Damn, I love that world gen from 1.8.9....

i found this channel not too long ago while looking for vanillia+ survival series and found his original 1.9 to 1.12 series and checked out a lot of his other videos, its sad to see a good creator and who have had ppl been wishing to be invited to hermitcraft for years just disappear one day with no mention of returning

Does anyone know how to expand this when going 4 blocks out on all sides? I want to make a grand staircase, but can't really figure out how to make it look good Edit: Also, tips on incorporating multiple coloured blocks would be great! Edit 2: Actually, I figured out how to make the 4-wide staircase! I can't describe it very well, but it involves a lot of T-shapes with some things added to it.
